Dr. D.K. Malhotra , Chief consultant and Centre Head at Dr. Malhotra’s Super Speciality Dental Centre is a renowned name in the field of dentistry and has more than 52 years of clinical experience in active dental practice, besides being the founder of this prestigious centre he has been the mentor to many leading dentists who have trained under his expert guidance. After completing his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) in 1964 and Masters in Dental Surgery (M.D.S.) in Orthodontics in 1967 from the prestigious King’s George Medical College (KGMC), Lucknow he was the Head of the Department of Dental Surgery (C.G.H.S.) at Safdarjung Hospital from 1967-68.

Dr. Malhotra was awarded the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship by the Government of United Kingdom (U.K.) for his exemplary work in 1968. He also completed his Diploma in Dental Orthopaedics (D.D.O.) from the Royal College of Surgeons Glasgow, England in 1969 following which he worked at the University Hospital, Sheffield, U.K. from 1969-1970. After returning back to India in 1970, Dr. Malhotra worked at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (A.I.I.M.S.).

Dr Malhotra established Dr Malhotra’s Super speciality Dental Centre in 1970 and has been running a very successful dental practice at Pusa road, in the heart of Delhi city for more than five decades. Besides numerous honours to his credit he has been awarded fellowship by the Academy of Dentistry International (F.A.D.I.) and International College of Dentists (F.I.C.D.).

Dr. Varun Malhotra, Consultant Orthodontist and Dental Implantologist at Dr. Malhotra’s Super Speciality Dental Centre completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore in 2002 and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics in 2006 from Bapuji Dental College and Hospital, Davangere.

He topped the AIIMS national entrance examination to join as Senior Resident (Orthodontics), and worked at the premier All India Institute of Medical Sciences, CDER from 2006-09 .

He was awarded fellowship of M. Orth R.C.S. from the prestigious Royal college of Surgeons of Edinburgh, U.K as a recognition of excellence in the year 2010. Besides being a course instructor at various national level workshops he has had the honour of being invited as a guest speaker at various international and national conferences.

He is a certified lingual orthodontist by INCOGNITO (3M) / TOP-Service für Lingualtechnik GmbH, certified Invisalign® treatment provider and besides his expertise in conventional orthodontic techniques he has over the years acquired extensive experience in successfully treating cases using various invisible orthodontic techniques.

Our 7 step Sterilization Protocol

Step 1: Careful Collection and transport of used instruments to the Sterilization Bay

Step 2: Sorting of Instruments and Disposal of Bio Medical Waste Properly

Considering a fast growing awareness and stringent statutory compliance requirements in the field of Environmental Protection & Pollution Control our center has been responsibly disposing all bio hazard waste through a dedicated Biomedical waste management partners.

We carefully separate disposable and reusable instruments. Dispose of disposable instruments and related waste safely and correctly. Soak reusable instruments that can’t be processed immediately and discard waste in a biohazard waste color coded bins according type of waste .

Step 3: Clean Instruments in an Ultrasonic Cleaner

Instruments are placed in an ultrasonic cleaning machine with an advanced disinfectant solution. The ultra-audio-frequency electric signal produced by the ultrasonic generator in a ultrasonic cleaning machine is conversed to the mechanical vibration, producing ten thousands of small bubbles which form and grow in the zone of negative pressure, and explode instantaneously in the zone of positive pressure, to strike with high pressure the surface, gap and small local of a cavity to be washed, leading to peeling off of fouling quickly, thus the good cleaning and purifying effect can be reached.

Step 4: Rinse and Dry Instruments

Instruments and then thoroughly rinsed and subsequently dried.

Step 5: Package Instruments

These instruments are now packed and sealed in specialized sterilization pouches.

Step 6: Sterilize Instruments in a B class Autoclave (Most advanced option in sterilization of Instruments)

Instruments are now placed in a Class B autoclave, these autoclaves are the most advanced steam sterilizers. These are certified medical devices used in hospitals and large clinics. Class B autoclave, thanks to fractionated pre-vacuum, completely removes air from the chamber and attains the highest level of sterlization and disinfection. Post sterilization these are dried in the autoclave and ready to be stored for subsequent dental procedures.

Step 7: Instrument pouches are now stored in a UV chamber till required for use.
